Hei Bao's live album was recorded during a performance at the Beijing Olympic Stadium on October 8, 1998. (Thanks to the "Li Tong I Love You" Hei Bao fansite for the album cover image.) An official VCD of this live album was released in 2001. SINGLES
1997 "Bai Nian Ju Bian" - Hei Bao recorded an original song, "A Huge Change In 100 Years" (Bai Nian Ju Bian), for the "Born on July 1st" (7 Yue 1 Ri Sheng) compilation album. This album was a special project that combined the musical talent of Chinese artists from "Two coasts and three places" (Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong). 2000 "Meiyou Ni" - In October 2000, Hei Bao released a single, "Without You" (Meiyou Ni). OTHER RECORDINGS
RE-RECORDED ORIGINAL SONGS Hei Bao has re-recorded new versions of a few of their older songs and re-released them on various compilation albums. 1993 "Lianpu" - Originally sung by Dou Wei on Hei Bao's first album, the song was re-recorded with Luan Shu doing lead vocals. The new version first appeared on the compilation album " Rock Beijing". I personally prefer this version as the band sounds much tighter and the music has more of an edge. 1994 "Guangmang zhi Shen" - Originally sung by Luan Shu in the original release of Hei Bao's second album, the song was re-recorded with Qin Yong when he joined the band. This newest version appears on the currently available release of the second album. 2000 "Tihui" - Originally sung by Dou Wei on Hei Bao's first album, the song was re-recorded with Qin Yong doing lead vocals. This new, more "funky" version appears on "True Love Forever", a compilation of Chinese rock artists singing the "greatest love songs of the 20th century". COVER SONGS Over the years, Hei Bao has contributed recordings of cover songs for various compilation albums. 1995 "Love Proverb" (Ai de Zhenyan) and "Lover" (Airen) - From "A Tribute to Theresa Teng" (Deng Lijun). 1997 "China Youth" (Shaonian Zhongguo) - From the "Born on July 1st" (7 Yue 1 Ri Sheng) compilation. 2000 "Santa Maria" - From "True Love Forever", a compilation of Chinese rock artists singing the "greatest love songs of the 20th century". © 2001-2005 G.I.
